Subatan is a village in the Gilan district of Talesh, located in the northwest of Gilan province. The village sits west of the Kergan River and northwest of Talesh. The Subatan summer residence is one of the country’s most scenic areas, situated 22 kilometers west of Hashtpar in the verdant province of Gilan, 36 kilometers northwest of Hashtpar, and 21 kilometers southeast of Lake Nier. It is bordered to the east by dense forests (Lysar), to the west by the Ardebil countryside and the beautiful Lake Nier, to the north by the rushing Lysar River and the Khatbe Sera summer residence, and to the south by the Asbomar Jokandan summer residence.
